Thanksgiving Food Baskets

As we approach the Thanksgiving season we are again reminded of those less fortunate. The goal of this program is to provide food for families in the Middletown area.

Bob and Sharon Flagel are chairmen this year. We will be meeting at Frisch’s at Towne Mall on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 8am for breakfast. From there we will be picking up all of the food at Kroger at Towne Mall. Kroger is putting everything together for us so we won’t need to shop on Friday, Nov. 20. We will go from Kroger to Temple to organize, with the help of the Sunday School children. Deliveries are expected to be ready by 11:00.

Donations for this project are needed. Checks should be made out to Temple Beth Sholom and mailed to Sharon Flagel.

On Sunday, November 22, we will meet at the Temple at 9:00 A.M. to begin organizing the food for distribution. If you have a van, pickup truck or SUV capable of delivering the food, we would appreciate your assistance. As in previous years, we will assign everyone who wants to participate in the delivery and provide directions.

This has always been a worthwhile and rewarding program and we hope that you will participate.
